Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 8am and 10.30am in our kitchen/dining room. Watch the birds on the feeders or the resident pheasant through the large windows as we cook for you. If you have your dog you can bring them with you while you eat.

 

We cater for all dietary restrictions, please advise before arrival so we can ensure we have supplies in.

 

To start there is fresh orange juice, a selection of teas black/fruit/herbal or fresh coffee made from Lavazza coffee beans. Choose from black coffee, espresso or cappuccino. We also offer hot chocolate made with frothed milk and marshmallows if you want them!

If you want to detox we have fresh ginger, honey and lemon.

 

A selection of cereals, homemade granola, creamy porridge, croissants and fresh berries with natural yoghurt are available. 

 

For your main course we offer the following options:

 

Scottish cooked breakfast

Grilled back bacon, Sausage, Haggis (lamb, beef, oats, onions and spices), Stornoway Black Pudding (a type of blood sausage, high in protein and iron), Baked beans, Roasted vine tomatoes, Mushrooms pan fried in butter with a shake of pepper, Potato scones (made with potatoes & flour) Served with fried egg unless otherwise indicated - scrambled or poached egg available.

 

Veggie cooked breakfast

Veggie sausages, potato rosti, pan fried mushrooms, baked beans, roasted vine tomatoes, potato scones, fried egg (scrambled or poached if preferred)

 

Montadito

Toasted sourdough, topped with sweet roasted peppers, sliced manchego cheese, & hardboiled egg with one of the below options:

1) Meat Montadito with continental meat selection 2) Veggetarian Montadito - with avocado

 

Scottish Kippers (large smoked herring) grilled and served with scrambled eggs

 

Scrambled eggs with Salmon and avocado

Creamy eggs scrambled with slices of smoked salmon & avocado

 

Homemade pancakes (crepes) with 3 options: 

1) Sugar and fresh lemon 2) Maple syrup 3) Bacon & scrambled eggs 

 

Grilled mature cheddar cheese on toast

Grilled cheese, with cherry tomatoes and red onion – ask if you only want plain cheese.

 

Omelet

Plain or with: cheese/tomatoes/onions/mushrooms

Dinner

We offer a 3-course dinner, which is £25 per person. Please advise at the time of booking if you want to dine with us along with any dietary requirements. There is an option to book dinner on the booking form.

Starters

Homemade soup with bread roll - mushroom/roasted tomato & basil etc...

Asparagus with blue cheese wrapped in prosciutto ham

King prawns pan fried in olive oil with garlic and fresh chillies

Continental meat platter 

Feta cheese salad

 

Main Course served with potatoes and vegetables

Tender prime beef slow cooked for 3 hours in the oven, made with red wine, fresh ginger, garlic, spices and herbs. Very aromatic and slightly spicy, my favourite comfort food!

Grilled sea bass fillet with fresh rosemary

Grilled Scottish salmon 

Chicken breast and chestnut mushrooms cooked in creamy garlic sauce with a hint of mustard, served with pasta.

 

Dessert

Homemade Nougat Glacé, a frozen ice-cream dessert made with cream, honey, roasted pistachio nuts and almonds drizzled with white and dark chocolate sauce.

Cheesecake with raspberry coulis

Homemade sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream or custard

Fresh crepes served with sugar and lemon, maple syrup or fresh berries
